Launched in 2004, JZ Club has become the most representative of all the jazz clubs in Shanghai, and even in China. 365 days a year, JZ house bands present you with everything from classical Standards, buoyant Swing, to refreshing female vocals and modern Jazz Rock. On weekends, the JZ Latino and JZ All Star Big Band heat up the stage up with their passion.
Upholding the Spirit of a “Musicians’ Club”, JZ on weekends is the terminus for most jazz musicians in Shanghai. After a glass of wine or two, many players of note join in the jam session to turn the house into a rapturous carnival. Frequently, JZ Club presents special concerts featuring top musicians from all around the world. Numerous audiences have rediscovered the pure joy of music at JZ Club. Dolci Vizi, the ‘sweet sin’ cafe with a history in Italy going back more than 30 years has finally arrived in China. Originally located in the M50 art district and now based in 1933 Shanghai, a former abattoir and derelict factory with fascinating Art Deco architecture. 1933 Contemporary has a 400sqm exhibition space devoted to contemporary art across disciplines and cultures, working closely with curators and leading intellectuals in the field. The gallery has organized 18 exhibitions over the past three years, launching and fostering the careers of some of the most prominent young artists to come out of Shanghai.

The Yangtze Boutique Shanghai occupies a piece of the cities historic architecture, built in 1934. The art deco style building, once touted as “The Third Largest Hotel in the Far East”, was the stomping ground for many movie stars, including Ruan Lingyu.
